Zzz zzz : A Short poem
“Zzz zzz” is my another piece of poetic endeavor. I am a free poet. That means, I write to please myself without caring much about other things. It may be of without any quality or poetic value, I know, but I am not a poet at all.
You may ask me what the theme of my poem is. Answer is I do not know! Yes I have written that words which have come to my fingertips. I was in a quiet depressed mood when I wrote this. Now you reader should read and judge the poem. You shall say what my theme is not I.
ZZZ ZZZ
My name is zzz zzz,
Living in a dead city under a dead sky
Where I flew like a mechanical fly
Over the stones which were once a hill;
A hill proud of its green
And the lives seen unseen.

I am zzz zzz
Living a life full of nothing,
A life multiplied by zero;
In the streets I’ve seen the eyes
Looking at me to see nothing
Zzz is the zombie.
Somewhere in some barren land
Shadows uncountable covers light
The wheel of civilization
Turnig and turning and turning
A flameless cold fire burning
Sounding “zzz zzz zzz”.
Being born only to die
And seeing time passing by
Nothing to do but to wait
For the dreadful hour
Like the Cigarette filter
Only to be thrown away.
In the streets of the city
I’ve seen the faces
Faces that are dying a thousand
Painful deaths crucified in a Tesla tree;
No effort to go out
To break free.
I am zzz zzz
And I have seen the flicker
Of my greatness living deep inside;
My soul once tried to fly
Like the dragons of Daenerys
Over the exotic fields of Essos.
Sleep that overloads me never comes
Alcohol unable to make colorful
The shapeless landscape to my eyes,
Centuries are passing by
I can feel their slow, slow movement,
A stone is what I am.
