Samsung Galaxy Ace Format or Hard Reset Guide
Hard Resetting Galaxy Ace
I am going to show you how to reset your Galaxy Ace mobile in a simple and straight forward way. For the sake of convenience I have wrote it as a step by step guide.
When your phone is sowing constant problems like getting slower or frequent hang ups, and then it would be better to format it.
Are your apps are often crashing when this apps were running smoothly a few months ago? Then by formatting you can be freed from this problem too.
Why Your Ace becomes Slow?
Every Android phone like a PC tends to keep junk files in the system. Applications keep records, logs, crash reports and such things in the phone system areas. The Operating System itself is also responsible for such things.
Moreover, different type of installed, uninstalled apps leave foot-mark inside your phones system files. Bloat wares, Ad wares and Malwares also entangle the OS and as a result your phone becomes slow and unresponsive.
If you format it, then the device will delete all the information and files gathered over the years. It will be gone to its factory setting, the pure, clean and innocence self.
Step by Step Guide for Hard Resetting the Galaxy Ace
Just follow the instructions on your phone to format it:
1) Find out the Menu option on the main home screen.
2) Tap Settings.
3) Find out and select Privacy
4) Now tap Factory Data Reset
5) Enter the password.
6) Confirm format.
7) The process will be started. Now wait for some time for the completion of the formatting.
Format by Code
There is a much simpler way to do it on the Ace. If you dial certain numbers then the process will start from the home screen.
You can soft-reset your phone by dialing *#7780#. It will alter all the manual settings to the original factory setting. As for instance, the display brightness will be the same as it was when you first bought the phone. The volume, the equalizer settings, camera settings etc all will return to the factory setting. It can solve many minor problems of your phone.
But, it will not delete any system data. So, major problems will not be solved. To make the phone faster and solving major issues you need to put the code *2767*3855# for hard-reset.
What to do if Your Phone is Frozen?
It was the case of my coworker Samir. He has a shiny new Galaxy Ace where he often brings in many apps and games from the Play Store. Last Friday, he came to me panting and said: "My phone is dead!"
Yes, his phone was frozen. He was playing Temple Run 2 and the monkey demon was about to catch the running coward. But there were no response from the phone. I opened the battery to turn it off. Then, when I restarted the phone there was a white screen only! A white screen of death!
So, I did the 3rd option. It is the last weapon for you if you have fallen in a similar situation. I had opened the battery again. Then reinserted it and held the Vol Up,Home and Power button simultaneously.
When you do this you shall see a menu. In this menu you can use the volume button to select options. No touch screen will work here. Now select "Wipe data / factory reset" option. It will format your phone and you shall be freed from all problems.
