IBPS: Change in the Interview Call Process| Good News for the Candidates
IBPS: New Changes
IBPS examination for recruitment in Indian Banks gave a surge of hope to millions of Indian jobseeker youths. But after the examination result out, it seem that there was something wrong about the system. More than 5lakhs job seekers cleared the IBPS clerk ship examination. Many of them were under graduates. But the recruiting banks have begun to call only the graduates for the interviews. Moreover, ¾ banks started recruiting closely before completing any ones recruitment process. As a result only those with very high marks in IBPS exam were being called for the interviews. Thousands of applicants applied with a lot of money as fee, which was all wasted. The system was hugely criticized in the internet.
As a result of this a meeting of IBPS was held and some important rules about the recruitment process were changed. Read below to know about these:
Graduation is not necessary for Clerical Posts:
It is very good news for those who have good scores in IBPS but no Graduation. For now on, Graduation will not be needed as minimum criteria by Banks in Clerk posts for this year. But from the next year, Graduation will be mandatory. From 2013, no Bank will recruit any 10+2 as Clerks.
≡ NEW APPLICATION FEE:= Rs. 20 to 50
Great Reduction of Application Fee:
Application fees are reduced greatly. Now you shall have to give only Rs.20 to Rs.50 as application fees while applying for the banks. In this way the extra income by the banks from the job seeker’s money is much reduced.
Higher Cut-off for Interviews:
It Is decided that no bank will allow more than 3 or 4 times of candidates than the vacancy to apply. Banks were calling at the ratio of 1:10 earlier. As a result many candidates were applying only to be frustrated when the banks declared the final candidates list for the interview.
Steps Taken to Give Others with Lower Scores Some Chance:
In the earlier times we have seen that only those with very good scores were called for the interviews and got the jobs. Same toppers got called for every bank and others did not get any chances. They bagged the jobs but did not join hoping to get a better bank.
