Fonts gives look to text. There are different type of fonts. Some are formal and some are comical. Some fonts are fantastic looking but some are boring. You can set different fonts for your text and thus give it a look which is suitable and eye pleasing. Here is a list of 20 fonts which are most popular and are well loved by the designers.

Some of the fonts are very old but some are modern. Some of these fonts were designed for type writers. Some of the best fonts were designed for Microsoft and Adobe.

1) Baskerville

Baskerville font was designed by John Baskerville in 1757. The contrast between thin and thick strokes is higher in this font which gives a strong impression.

2) Bell Gothic

Bell Gothic is a quiet modern font. This type face was designed in 1938 by C.H. Griffith. This font is noteworthy for its simple but elegant style. It is a realistic Sans-Serif font. This font is legible in very small sizes and thus is very efficient in saving space.

3) Benguiat

ITC Benguiat is a beautiful serif font. It was designed in 1978 by Ed Benguiat. The most notable thing about this font is slightly angled horizontal lines.

4) Broadway

M. F. Benton was the designer of this popular font in 1927. It is a decorative font and can only be used special purposes. This font is not very legible.
